Privacy Policy

Ovre ("we," "our," or "the app") is a voice-first conflict mapping tool for couples. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and who we share it with.

1. Data we collect

• Your name — entered during onboarding, used to personalize your conflict map.
• Voice recordings — recorded when you answer the six debrief questions. Recordings are temporarily stored on our servers for transcription and then permanently deleted.
• Text transcripts — generated from your voice recordings. Used to create your conflict map. Stored in our database so you can revisit your maps.
• Device identifier — a randomly generated ID stored on your device. We do not collect your Apple ID, phone number, or email address.

2. How we use your data

Your data is used solely to generate and display your conflict maps. We do not use your data for advertising, analytics profiling, or any purpose unrelated to the core app functionality.

3. Third-party AI services

Ovre uses two third-party AI services to process your data:

• OpenAI (Whisper API) — Your voice recordings are sent to OpenAI's Whisper service for speech-to-text transcription. OpenAI processes the audio to return a text transcript. Under OpenAI's API data usage policy, API inputs are not used to train their models.
• Anthropic (Claude API) — Your text transcripts are sent to Anthropic's Claude service to generate your personalized conflict map. Under Anthropic's API terms, API inputs are not used to train their models.

Both services process your data only for the purpose of fulfilling your request. Neither service retains your data beyond the time needed to process it.

4. Data storage and security

Your transcripts and conflict maps are stored in a secure database hosted by Supabase. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). Access to your data is scoped to your device — only your device can retrieve your maps.

5. Data retention and deletion

• Voice recordings are deleted immediately after transcription.
• Transcripts and maps are retained as long as you use the app. If you would like your data deleted, contact us at the email below and we will remove all data associated with your device identifier.

6. Data sharing

We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with any parties other than the two AI services described above (OpenAI and Anthropic), and our infrastructure provider (Supabase). We do not use your data for advertising.

7. Partner data

If you invite a partner to add their perspective, their data is subject to this same policy. Both partners can see the reconciled conflict map. Neither partner can see the other's raw transcripts or individual responses.

8. Children's privacy

Ovre is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

9. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date above and notify users through the app.
